Lisa is passionate about shaping disciples of Jesus for the transformation of the world. She enjoys working with adult education, hospitality, new members, and the Discipleship and Formation team. Since joining the North staff in July 2005, Lisa has also been involved with all-church events, worship leadership, weddings, and small-group ministries.

Lisa loves the beautiful diversity of God’s people at North. She is eager to engage in multicultural ministry, to build relationships across barriers that divide us, and to grow and serve together. She can’t wait to see where God will continue to guide us as we seek to share Christ’s love with the world.  

In addition to her responsibilities at North, Lisa is involved with the broader church. She serves on conference committees, and she is working to design worship for FOCUS, a national children’s ministry conference.  Lisa also participates in the Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program, which brings together newer clergy to develop their leadership skills and foster engagement in their communities. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and French from Indiana University and a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School.

In her free time, Lisa enjoys being with her friends and family, many of whom live nearby.  She loves to travel, both for pleasure and for mission trips. She is an active reader (ask her about the last novel she read), and she wishes she had more opportunity for writing and blogging.  She also swims, rides her bike, plays piano and guitar, and jogs with her prophetic pup, Isaiah.
