Marcia Lurie has been a member of North Church since childhood.  She has always been active in the life of the church, teaching elementary Sunday School, chairing Education Commission, Council on Ministries, and the Committee on Nominations and Personnel.

Marcia has lived in Indy all her life; she graduated from I.U. with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and from Butler and Christian Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in Counseling.  Marcia worked in the mental health area of Occupational Therapy for her whole career ending with 24 years at Methodist Hospital.  Since that time she has worked part-time in the church office where she is responsible for membership, so changes in addresses, email addresses, family status, etc. should be directed to her.  She also maintains the altar flower schedule; those requests can be directed to her.
